创业管理硕士申请策略

创业学不同于MBA课程，大部分MBA项目是针对于教授如何管理大公司、大企业，而Entrepreneurship项目更多的是学习如何使一家企业从无到有，从0到1的过程。
1）Start a business
其实早在1995年，创业学Entrepreneurship就已经出现在了美国大学的专业目录当中。与其他商科专业相比，创业学更注重培养学生的创业精神与创新能力，让同学们能够时刻把握行业的变迁以及世界的发展，从容应对今后职业生涯中可能面临的风险。创业学还着重强调学习与实践的结合。教学生自己如何start a business。。
2）公司内部的创新
关注公司内部的创业，像企业新产品的开发、如何拓展一条新的business line还有新的市场的探索等等。所以，这个专业毕业的同学就业面也十分广泛，有很多去投行、咨询公司还有start-up的科技公司。

提问：请问创业管理与传统管理的区别是什么？

解答：研究出发点不同：传统职能管理的出发点是效率和效益，创业管理的出发点是通过找寻机会并取得迅速的成功与成长。创业管理的核心问题是机会导向，即创业是在不局限于所拥有资源的前提下，识别机会，开发机会，利用机会并产生经济成果的行为。

提问：创业管理专业需要什么技能？

解答：除了全面了解企业管理之外，企业家还应具备：精通业务：您必须了解业务理论和实践才能建立成功的企业；创新与创造力；人际交往能力：作为企业家，您将是向潜在投资者推销产品或在销售过程中协助客户的人；多任务处理能力：即使您与其他合作伙伴开展业务，您也可能必须在不同领域解决一系列任务。

提问：这个领域的整体职业前景如何？

解答：就业前景的创业者是主观的，因为产业和人口不同而不同。企业家是市场经济的驱动力。累计就业前景的业务管理职位的就业大约是在未来5 – 8年的8％，这是一样快的平均水平。平均年薪约为90,000美元/年。薪水和工作潜力取决于个人的特定组织和专业。

提问：有什么具体的推荐院校吗？

解答：华盛顿大学：该项目招生人数并不多，大概在30人左右。项目的课程设置遵循公司的创业发展过程，从ideate到test，再从refine到prepare to scale，学生可以全面系统地学习企业从无到有的各个成长阶段。布朗大学综合排名12，PRIME是一个10个月的项目，项目的学生将会学习如何在科技领域创业，因此主要是为本科有engineering或science背景的同学设计的，建议想申请的同学可以学习一些应用数学和计算机的课程。
