管理信息系统硕士申请策略

另外现在很多高校开设的项目内容和MIS是相似的，但是那些项目的名字却各不相同,现在类似的项目名称有Information Management、Engineer Management、Library Information Science等等。
1）工学院下的管理信息系统
一般来说技术类的课程都是和信息科学、系统科学以及计算机科学相关的课程，虽然不同的项目会有差异，不过基础课程还是比较类似的，一般会有Java、Python、R这些编程语言的学习，同时同学们还要学习有关软件和硬件的基础知识，以及信息系统设计、数据处理、数据分析及应用方面的知识。
2）商学院下开设
至于另一部分管理类的课程，其实和传统的管理项目以及商科项目是比较相近的，主要有项目管理、企业管理、战略管理、电子商务、市场营销、物流供应链管理等等。不过这些课程的内容和传统的商科及管理项目还是会有所区别的，因为MIS项目的同学学习这些课程主要是为了利用信息系统来帮助企业进行商业决策。

提问：请问管理信息科学专业的课程设置怎么样？

解答：因为MIS项目的授课重点和CS、EE也有本质上的区别，它更看重的是培养同学这样去运用技术解决实际出现的问题，所以它并不追求让同学们了解这些技术背后的原理。不过这样的课程设置也有一个好处，那就是MIS很适合那些本科期间CS背景薄弱的同学选择，如果大家的学习能力足够的话，在MIS项目中是可以很快掌握基础的知识和技能的。

提问：MIS就业情况介绍是什么？

解答：现在MIS项目同学毕业后的主要就业方向有程序员、商业分析师、数据分析师、技术咨询、项目经理，这些主要的工作去向都是和IT相关的。

提问：国际学生读管理信息系统专业在美国好找工作吗？

解答：首先一定要对自己未来的发展方向进行规划，之后再选择自己想要申请的项目，因为在美国就业和高校的地理位置是有很大的关系的，根据自己未来的职业规划确定申请高校的位置，也可以让未来就业的压力减轻不少。

提问：在进行选校时，哪些应该着重关注？

解答：1：地理位置或决定就业出路。西部的学校有更大机会去科技或互联网公司从事偏technical的工作，这类公司也更大概率sponsor工签。2：认清自己的学术背景适合偏商科还是偏技术的项目。对于计算机／数学等背景不是非常强的同学，较适合在商学院下的MIS项目，也可以选择Project Management等分支方向。
